Just received confirmation this morning from Michele that her flight arrives on May 14th. Yahoo! Absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder. Walked to Xewkija today after lunch and didn't get lost! The Cathedral of San Gwann Battista (St. John the Baptist) is a prominent landmark visible from Munxar and is about a half hour walk from Manresa House. Like most of Gozo, the cathedral is closed for siesta until 4 p.m., so will have to return another day to see the interior. It was built around the previous church there, so that for a period of 20 years (1951 until 1971) San Gwann Battista was a church within a church. Three days of wet weather have ended and the sun is coming back to partly cloudy skies and warmimg the air up again.
